With more than half of Australian adults falling short of recommended activity levels, it's crucial to incorporate movement into your daily routine, even when you're at home.
Our parent company, TUH has received top marks in a recent nation-wide survey undertaken by Ipsos Public Affairs, one of Australia’s leading independent customer research agencies. This is great news for Union Health members too, who benefit from the same great customer service and quality products.
This survey is conducted every two years and is a true benchmark of the state of member satisfaction in the health insurance industry in Australia with the majority of health funds participating in this research.
The results put member-owned funds well ahead of larger competitors that are run for profit and TUH in the top three when it comes to customer service, trustworthiness, and quality products.
A staggering 91% of members said they were satisfied with their membership, compared with an industry average of 69%. In addition, members gave us a score of 69% for how we looked after them during the COVID-19 pandemic, compared to an industry average of 47%. This confirms direct feedback from members that we’re continuing to meet member expectations, even in the midst of uncertainty.
CEO Rob Seljak said the results highlighted our efforts to focus on putting members at the heart of our decision making. “It’s gratifying to know our members feel they get value for money, appreciate the service we provide when they need us most,” he said.
The incredible results were drawn from 5,500 telephone interviews and 11,200 online interviews conducted across Australia between July and September 2021.
